We compact and grade the base so the slab bears evenly and doesn't settle under load.
Thickness to load
Slab thickness is set to what's going on it. A shed pad and a shop floor are not the same pour.
Rebar / mesh
Reinforcement is matched to the use, from mesh on light pads to a rebar grid for heavy loads.
Vapor barrier
For enclosed or finished slabs we set a vapor barrier to keep moisture from wicking up.
Mix, joint & cure
We pour a mix to spec, cut control joints, and cure it properly.

How much does a shed pad or slab cost?
It depends on thickness, reinforcement, and whether a vapor barrier is needed. We size and price it to the load it will carry, after seeing the spot.
How thick should my slab be?
It depends on the load. A shed pad is lighter than a garage or shop floor carrying vehicles and equipment, so we size thickness and reinforcement to your actual use.
Can a slab hold a hot tub or an RV?
Yes. Those are heavy, point-loaded uses, so we increase thickness and reinforcement and pour a mix to spec. Tell us the equipment and we'll build the pad for it.
Do I need a permit for a concrete slab?
Some slabs do, depending on size, location, and use. We flag when a permit is likely so it's handled up front rather than discovered later.
How long until a new slab is ready to load?
Concrete keeps gaining strength after it looks set, so heavy loads wait. We give you a clear date to put equipment on it for your specific pour.
